He is coming home!

December 1, 2014

So this week was pretty uneventful except for Thanksgiving which we ate in a restaurant and I had a cheeseburger. We are having a baptismal interview for Josh today and he should be baptized this Saturday, so that is pretty exciting. One last baptism before I go home. Other than that not a whole lot going on. Atlanta has been pretty dead because of the holidays and its been tough to find anybody. I found out today that I will be finishing here and not getting transferred anywhere for my last two weeks. The baptism next Saturday will probably be the most exciting thing that happens these next two weeks but hopefully we can still see some cool things happen.

I'm not really sure what I want for Christmas. Tell Jack  I will like anything he gets me. I did go and look at souvenirs and stuff and I have no idea what to get them. I need some help with ideas. Thanksgiving was interesting. Some members took us out to a restaurant and I ate a 1 pound burger for Thanksgiving. But then some people brought us some plates of leftovers the next day so we did get to eat turkey and all that stuff. Sounds like a fun week for everybody. So we are not getting transferred. We will finish here and there will be some elders in threesomes around us that will come in and take our place in two weeks. Not sure what we are doing today. Probably taking a nap.

So the biggest highlight of the week was that we had a baptism. My final time, and a good way to finish out strong. It went really well and was pretty well attended even though people are really busy. Other than that not a lot to talk about. All of our teaching pool is taking finals this week and then leaving for Christmas break at the same time I do. Sorry this is really short but that's about it for this week I think.

They did have a ward party, but the ysa ward covers the Atlanta stake and the Roswell stake, which is in the north mission, and the activity was out of our mission boundaries so we couldn't go. the Atlanta stake did have a Christmas nativity singing program this weekend that we went to, and last night we watched the broadcast afterwards. Today we are going to play basketball with the elders in the Atlanta ward.

I forgot my camera at the baptism so Elder Weaver took pictures, but then he forgot it today. So I will have those next week,  and then I have Atlanta pictures, probably just to look at when I get back. Won't worry about sending any next week. Cool stuff. Well I actually have to go now. See ya next week.

Nothing very exciting this week. just the same old stuff. Yeah 30 people went home last transfer but there are also a lot of people on here that went home a while ago. Sounds fun for Sunday. Whats the name of the person Syd Soelberg married? I feel pretty good. I started packing yesterday. I have pday today and dinner with Bro. Hardy my ward mission leader in Brockett. Then we have FHE with YSA. Then tomorrow we go to the temple and have a mission Christmas devotional thing. Then I leave at 9 for the airport on Wednesday. We will see if I get that postcard.
