March 10, 2014

So this week was actually a pretty exciting week. On Thursday we got to go to the temple and that is always great. Then on Friday we went over to the T's  so that we could do the baptismal interviews. We were with the bishop and Brother T's parents and brother had flown in from Florida and were there. Brother T had been interviewed for the priesthood the previous Sunday, but he was still unsure if he was going to baptize his kids.  So we talked for a while and the bishop talked to him and he  decided he would baptize them. So his brother gave him the Priesthood right there at his house and it was awesome. His whole family was crying like crazy. So the next morning the baptism went smoothly. The whole baptism service was very spiritual. Then after the baptism we went straight to Atlanta for a surprise meeting with Elder Cook of the quorum of the twelve. That was super cool to hear him speak and to shake his hand. We learned alot. Then on Sunday Brother T's dad confirmed both the kids in sacrament and that was very cool as well. So it was a very exciting week with a lot of cool things happening. We are still working with SIster T and will have her baptized within a month. But that is about it for this week.

Both Elder Kimball and Crawford now have hammocks.  And they moved to a home
out in the woods.

Hey mom. This week went alright, nothing too exciting. The new house is cool. It is in the middle of the woods. It has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms and a basement. Yep 14 months went by fast. I'll be home soon. Sounds like everybody is in better shape than I am. We did a new workout on Saturday and I threw up afterwards and now I can barely walk. I probably look similar to what dad looks like. Have fun at crossfit. Elder Crawford used to do that and he said its crazy hard. I get my glasses today. They quoted me a wrong price on the lenses so they were a little more. I went to the ent. My ear is fine, they said my jawbone is inflamed and there's nothing I  can do but take ibuprofen. I'm talking to Elder Summers right now. He says he'll be back here in May to visit. That will be cool.

Well nothing too exciting happened this week. We tried to contact and set up appointments with less active people in our ward but they are hard to get a hold of. We had an appointment with someone we found in the area book. We got him committed to read the Book of Mormon,  but now that I'm getting transferred I won't be able to follow up with that. We got in contact with some people we hadn't been able to contact in a while.
It's almost spring. It's kind of cold today but supposed to be in the 70s by the end of the week. We didn't have a lesson out of the book in priesthood this  Sunday. We taught the high priests about missionary work. The two kids that were baptized are doing good. The mom is still hesitant, so I guess the new missionaries will have to see what they can do.
We don't know where we are going until tranfer meeting on Wednesday,  so I hope there's nothing in the mail for me.
Elder Kimball is getting transferred and he'll be on a bike...this scares me.  He also said to try a new place in Draper called zaxbys.  He says it yummy chicken, but too expensive for the missionaries to afford.  Was that a hint?

Elder Crawford, Elder Vernon, Elder Kimball and Elder Barraclough. They are at an adult ward activity.  A shooting competition.  That is my kind of activity!  Max said the elders weren't allowed to shoot, but they
ate a lot of BBQ.  Elder Crawford and Kimball share the house with Elder Vernon and Barraclough.

New glasses!  Goof ball.
