This week was alright but didn't get very exciting until Saturday. This week was transfers and we lost someone in our apartment and got a new guy. But he's a visa waiter and will probably be out of here at the beginning of November. The first couple days of the week were not very fun. We spent a lot of time looking for people that weren't home and setting up appointments, and then having them fall through.
Then on Friday we found out that President Harding had said at transfer meeting that there is a baptism waiting for you in your area book (which is where we keep all the records of people that were taught by old missionaries). So we went through that and picked out some people to go see on Saturday. We were also fasting together as a mission on Saturday so we were feeling good and ready to go find people.
The first couple people that we went to go see had moved so that was disappointing. Then we went to another house that had a former investigator supposedly living there and they were having a garage sale so we got to talk to them and found out it wasn't the person we were looking for. But, Kim the lady we talked to, was very happy to talk to us and said she really needed the prayer we said with her. Then right as we walked away there was another lady in her yard and we asked her if she needed help with anything. She said no thanks but then said you can come sit on my porch and talk though. So we taught her the first lesson and now we are going back on Tuesday with a member to teach her. After we taught her the lesson she said you guys should really go talk to my friend down the street. So we did that and met Tina. She was busy but said do you have anything I can read. And we said we sure did and gave her a pamphlet and are meeting with her tonight. So the miracles came at the end of this week but it was awesome and exciting.
Toward the end of the week they had an appt set up, here is a quote from Elder Summer's letter:
Thursday was a very interesting day. We had one appointment set in the afternoon , and didn't have the car. She lives several miles away, so we planned a whole day of walking. Long story short, we were almost to her house, when she had to cancel the appointment. That's not the news you want to hear when it's hot and you've been walking for two hours So we finished walking to her house anyway, and just sat on her lawn in the shade for a while. These are the experiences that make missions memorable! I love it!
Elder Kimball after 4 hours of walking to and from an appt. I hope those shoes hold up!

Hello we had an awesome miracle at the beginning of the week but then I don't know what happened the rest of the week. Anyway last week I talked about the a lady we met working in her yard and then she let us teach her for a while. Well we went back on Tuesday and got to teach Ginger and her husband Milton. They both loved the restoration and both committed to a baptismal date. Then they also said we have family members that really should hear about this and they offered to have them over in their home for us to teach and we were way excited about that. But, then it seems that everyone in their extended family got sick so they were going back and forth to the hospital so we had to cancel our appointment. So we set another one and the next time we went over apparently Ginger and Milton had gotten in a fight and Ginger had gone out of town. So we didn't get either of them to church and will have to push their baptismal dates back but we will keep working with them.
The rest of the week was pretty blah until Friday. On Friday we had Elder Evans of the 70 come and talk to us for like 5 hours. He is the head of the missionary department and works very closely with the members of the quorum of the 12. Everything that he taught us was amazing and hopefully we can get some things going here in Thomaston with the insights he gave us. Other than that not too much to say. The weather is really nice here. The nicest I have seen in Georgia so far. Also we have Elder Dallin H. Oaks from the Quorum of the 12 coming to talk to us on Saturday. That should be pretty cool.
