Hello, this week was pretty good at the beginning but then it wasn't so good at the end of the week. We were trying to go find some potential investigators that other missionaries had found and we knocked on one of the doors and the lady we were looking for had moved but the guy there, Desmond, invited us right in after we told him what we were doing. We talked for a little bit and we were able to set up an appointment to go back and see him. He is a teacher at an alternative school and is way smart and knows the bible really well. We went back and taught him the first lesson and he enjoyed it a lot. We thought that he would be an easy baptism because he didn't say anything about him already having another church. But, we invited him to church on Sunday and he said sorry but I have to go to my own church and didn't really have any interest in ever coming and checking out ours.
We also got a referral from the Spanish missionaries for a lady that said we could go teach her. Her name is Brittney. We went and taught the first lesson and she loved it and cried and said how excited she was to come to church. But, by Sunday she had talked to her mom who is a minister and doesn't want anything to do with us now. She even blocked our phone number. We will still probably try to go visit her sometime to see how she is doing.
On Memorial day we ended up going and helping Pam, the lady we baptized, finish renovating this duplex she is moving into. Right now she lives with another member of our ward that has six kids and she is ready to get out of there. Right now a friend of Pam's is working to finish the duplex and we said that we could help so she could move faster. So we spent most of the day doing drywall and painting and mowing her lawn. That was pretty much it for this week.

There was a really big thunderstorm yesterday and it's been kind of humid but not really. We did everything to repair the drywall, but we werent doing whole rooms. There are just alot of places that had holes in the wall. We found out about transfers today. Me and Post are together for the 4th transfer. We are also having another set move into our apartment so now there will be 4 people.

This week was pretty good. The beginning of the week was very busy trying to get our apartment ready for the two other elders to move in. It has been very crowded in our apartment and not that enjoyable. But this week we were able to go teach Desmond I talked about and he enjoyed our lesson. He still doesn't want to come to church, but he keeps inviting us back over to teach him.
We also spent a lot of time this week trying to help Pam with her new apartment. It doesn't have electricity yet so it has been very hot while we were painting and stuff.
We also met a guy named Ronny this week while we were tracting that was pretty cool. We were able to say a prayer with him and then he invited us to come back and start teaching him. The missionaries in Africa must be doing a good job because we keep having random people walk up to us and tell us their family in Africa just joined our church and that they need to find the missionaries. We have had that happen a couple times but they have always been in a different area so we have to refer them to somebody else. Well thats about it for this week.

Hey mom this week has been a pretty good week. We have been getting tons of referrals and that has been good because it has kept us busy finding them and talking to them. We got a referral for a lady in our apartment complex right across the parking lot from us. We went over there to try to see her and while we were standing at the door we started talking to another lady named Courtney. She was interested in what we were doing and she is usually sitting outside so we started talking to her every time we left our apartment. We invited her to church and it was stake conference and she came and really liked it. She went home and told all her neighbors and the people living with her so, later that day when we walked past there was like 5 people standing outside and we went over and taught all them and they all wanted to know when they were going to get invited to church. It was really cool and hopefully we can start getting all of them to come to church. That was the big highlight for the week everything else was about the same.

hello. I have been getting your emails i was just kind of confused because of that one that didnt send or whatever happened but im pretty sure i got all of them. I read the email about the blogs and i think up to this point everything on there is fine. Everybody there are pictures of won't care. But ill let you know if i ever think there is somebody that wouldnt want there picture up there.
The missionary thing was good. Im not sure how soon we will see any of the technology stuff but i have long enough left that for sure by the end of my mission. Mason said that in their mission they already have time set aside to do facebook stuff.
Our apartment is a little bit better still really messy and crowded. I could be staying for another transfer here because Post has been here one longer than I have. I'm glad you asked me if i needed anything or else I would have forgotten this. I think I'm ready for my shoes I left at home and I was wondering if you could send that mini preach my gospel I left in my room when I left. also bug spray. I have like a million mosquito bites. My ear still hurts especially alot after I play basketball for a long time for some reason. I just don't really want to deal with getting it looked at. I just take ibuprofen when it hurts.
It is kind of hard to keep our investigators because our ward has a hard time getting them a calling quickly .
It is extremely humid here, its crazy. The people here are all very nice. Like yesterday we were tracting and a guy didn't want to talk to us, but he still got us drinks and let us sit in the shade for awhile just because he was nice. That girls camp sound alot more fun than other ones I've heard of. It rained all week at girls camp for the girls here in our ward.

So this week was pretty good. Last week I was tracting while we were on splits with the spanish missionaries and I met a guy named Mike. He was pretty cool and he said that we could come back and teach him. And then this week I was on exchanges with the district leader so I did not get to go to the first lesson with him but Elder Post was able to commit him to be baptized so that was pretty cool. He asked to read and pray about the book of Mormon and he said he already knew that it was true. But the only days he works are the weekends so we werent able to get him to church so we will have to work that out. That was the big exciting news for this week.
Pam (the lady we baptized in February) is doing awesome. She gets up and bears her testimony every fast Sunday and its amazing. She also works at krogers and had not been able to come to church for a while. But then she was able to switch to working the night shift. So she works all night until 7 in the morning then goes home and showers then comes straight to church. So anybody that doesnt make it to church cause they are tired has no excuse. Its pretty cool. Things are going well here and Im thinking that I will probably get transferred this next transfer so we will see what happens.
Hello. I did not send another email last week because not a whole lot went on. But I did put a letter in the mail and if you don't get this one I won't know what to do. I'll have to go to the post office and drop it off there or something. Im excited for the package. The brownies might be a little crazy.
I wore out my old church shoes but havent even really been wearing those new ones yet so I still basically have two new pairs of shoes which is pretty good for already been gone six months. I wrote something to syd for her birthday, and I need to write a letter to dad for fathers day still. I planned on doing it and then just didn't , but ill do it today.
I have been hearing about the crazy heat from people. Its not as bad here its been in like the low 90s. Its also cloudy alot so that helps. There is a severe thunderstorm warning out for this whole week so that should be pretty crazy. Elder post is doing good. We still get along most of the time but we both are ready to leave this area. We want to leave but don't at the same time. You kind of get sick of going to the same apartment complexes and tracting everyday but we know every person in the ward and are friends with them so it will be sad when we leave.
