Elder Max Kimball: Atlanta Georgia Mission: Busy with the work

Hello I just barely read your email from last week. Did you get a picture of dad wearing shorts to church? (We were in Hawaii and Stephen thought, when in Rome...). Easter was pretty good, we had Easter lunch right after church with a member and we had honey baked ham and all the good stuff so we got fed good. Conference was good, they talked alot about missionary work which was helpful. We watched at the church. I'm like halfway done with a letter but I havent finished it yet, but ill get it done. I don't really have any pictures cause we haven't done anything worth taking a picture of really.

This week we went tracting a lot We felt like we needed to get some new investigators cause we are going to baptized Ed and then we won't really have any really solid people. We do a thing that the president came up with were we knock on peoples doors, and instead of trying to teach them stuff right away, we ask if we can say a prayer with them and ask them their name and any specific things they need help with. Then after we do that they usually can feel the spirit and are more inclined to let us teach them a lesson right then or have us come back. But we did all that tracting and didn't really find anybody good. But then that old guy Byron came and picked us up for something and he's kind of funny and talks to everybody. So he stopped and talked to the security guard at the front of our apartments to tell him that we weren't doing anything bad. But then the security guard asked what church we were from and we got his phone number and stuff and he lives in our apartment complex so its been easy to teach him. His names Daryl and he came to all 4 hours of conference yesterday which was pretty cool.

We are having a zone pday with another zone so theres going to be alot of people and I guess we're just playing games at some park

April 15
This week was pretty good, nothing really exciting or different than last week. The other elders in our ward had a baptism on Saturday and that was pretty cool cause I'd gotten to know the guy too. I guess its kind of hard (being a missionary)cause you are tired alot and sometimes you get tired of worrying about other people and what they're doing and how they are getting to church and things like that. It sounds like Jack is doing good.
Dad told about the yard and the Father/Son campout. It couldn't have been that cold. I slept up the canyon right before I left.
It feels like it's going pretty fast. I get to call you or video chat on mothers day which is the 12th I think. Im probably just going to go to someones house with an ipad so I can just facetime to the home computer I think that will be easiest. The ward out here is really good. Its kind of hard to get people to go out with us but once we get someone to church everybody is really friendly to them. If you look at the october 2012 ensign the cover is actually people in my ward here. Dinners kind of gone down this month but thats alright. We have dinner tonight. My laundry is pretty good. My collars are already kind of gross. I want to use bleach but I'm scared I'm going to mess up with it. If you have any tips that would be good. I dry cleaned my suit in the mtc but haven't since then. We have suit season from october general conference to april conference so know we don't have to wear them again until october except to church. Letters got put in the mail this morning.
